Health service

A health service is understood to be all the facilities that have been established to maintain and promote or restore the health of the population. Its remit includes general health care and education as well as protecting the public from health hazards. The national, state-run health centres are the bodies that are in charge of these tasks.

Health begins with information. Workshops and training courses in the field of hygiene are an essential tool in successful disease prevention.

The extremely unhygienic conditions and lack of sanitation that are widespread in many places in African countries can threaten the health of entire tribes. Villagers are taught about drinking water, latrines and basic hygiene rules by highly qualified personnel or an individual is trained to become a “hygiene professional”; this can give an entire village a new lease of life.
It is our duty to provide health care. Supervised provision of medicines and medical care are two of our main tasks in regions where people have been forced to survive below the poverty line.
